Over a Year!

On June 30th we celebrated our one year anniversary as Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Mason! The year has flown by for both of us, but we couldn't have asked for a better first year of marriage. Our lives have changed quite a bit, but we have only grown closer throughout the changes.

We will be living down in St Kitts until December 2010 then we'll move back to the States and Jeff will do a year of clinicals to finish up his DVM degree. It seems so far away, but his first semester here has already gone so fast.

Our lives down here are quite different than life in the US. I mostly do housewife things unless Jeff has some down time from school and we go to the beach. We play on an intramural beach volleyball team. Jeff stays really busy with studying and going to class. He's doing amazing so far in his classes, and I'm so proud of him. For now we live in a "dorm room" apartment so we can't bring our dogs down to be with us just yet.

I went home to the States for two weeks in June to celebrate my friend Bethany having a baby and my friend Sara getting married. It was so good to be back in the US, but I missed Jeff every second I was gone.

Other than school, the beach, volleyball and my trip home in June, there's not too much to report. We did get a webcam from Jeff's parents while I was back in the States, and we set it up as soon as I got back here to St Kitts. We love being able to see the people we miss so much back home (especially our dogs).

Hopefully people will feel closer to us by knowing a little about what is happening in our lives. We can't wait to move back to the US, but we're enjoying our adventure in a new world for now. Please pray for us as we are away, especially pray for Jeff and his school - he does great, but it's still very hard!
